bits and pieces

the aTLANTIC SERIES OF THE rUSSIAN REVOLUTION ALSO PRODUCED THIS QUITE NOT BAD COSSACK.wAS HIS HORSE MADE LIKE A cOSSACK PONY ON PURPOSE WHO KNOWS BUT THE WHOLE POINT OF COLLECTING aTLANTIC IS THE FACT THAT THEY ARE PEARLS FROM THE MIND OF MAN'S IMAGINATION; AT LEAST IN THE REALMS OF TOY SOLDIERS.

hINCHCLIFFE THE Zulu series was one of their best.I don't even know if it is still going but they certainly were one of the first to take the staid look at the camera pose and turn 54mm into skirmish wargaming as rewgards the metal soldier. This inspired my own output.

This firm is not often seen but they do look very interesting. The infantry are 20 bucks a shot painted.

PRINZ AUGUST: I love the idea behind Prinz August and John O'Brien on his site has some great painted pieces but they always look a bit wooden to me.There's something in the 54mm production that just doesn't hit the mark.
The WW2 series of Atlantic as regards Starlingrad brought us these pieces.Atlantic really look great if you care to put some effort into your painting. These soldiers, for some reason, are rarely seen anywhere painted but they are brilliant efforts all the same. I think these Russians are great.
